Pablo Alarcon Jr. is a Cuban-American artist from Miami, Florida. His work focuses on cultural inheritance and queer intimacy through the use of translation and familial iconography. Using printmaking, photography, and graphic design, Pablo uses images of cafeteras, plantains, palms, and self portraits to explore queer-latinidad, anti-blackness, and familial legacy. His work highlights the experience of queer Latin-American men through his use of language, textures, and silhouettes.
